Renewal of Vows Surrey

Maybe you’ve conquered difficult situations in your life together, which have renewed and strengthened your relationship. Or it could be that you were married abroad but would now like to celebrate here at home so that local friends and family can attend.

Whatever has inspired you to take this joyful step, we’d love to make sure that you have a beautifully-crafted ceremony, exactly to your taste.

It may be low key, with just you and a couple of witnesses; it may be a time to party in style, including many family members and friends—hopefully, some of whom attended the original ceremony; it may be formal or informal, serious or outlandish.  No matter which elements you choose to include, no matter how original your ideas are, I’ll be most happy to work with you to create a special occasion.

New vows for old

There are no traditions and etiquette rules for marriage vow renewals to guide you, which you might have chosen to follow in the case a wedding.  In fact, although the ceremony is known as a renewal of vows, you don’t have to repeat the words you used on your wedding day, (though of course you can if you’d like to.) It’s a perfect opportunity, now your lives have moved on, to create something fresh and meaningful to mark your time together and to look forward to a bright future in the years to come.

Is it a legally-binding ceremony?

Is it a legally-binding ceremony?

A renewal of vows isn’t a legal ceremony—it’s purely symbolic—so you don’t need an official registrar, specially licensed premises or any paperwork, just a commitment to reaffirm your love, a time, date and place—and a celebrant like me to formalise the occasion!
